Podcasting 101

Feb 11th, 2010 | By | Category: How to Podcast, Podcasting Software

CNet’s Veronica Belmont and Tom Merrit offer their take on the basics of podcasting in Podcasting 101.

They cover:

  • basic podcasting mics
  • podcasting software
  • podcasting mixers
  • Audacity
  • podcast hosting
  • RSS Feeds
  • OurMedia.org
  • podcast subscription
  • FeedBurner
  • podcast promotion
  • iTunes

It’s the 10,000 foot view – but it’s a good basic overview.

  1. Dave Jackson says:

I love pre-written witty banter. This is filled with some realy bad information. Podomatic? At least they point out that you don’t need to spend a million bucks. Ourmedia.org is really, really, slow. Feedburner does not create an RSS feed, it enhances the RSS you’ve already created. Feed for all (or any thing spearate) is extra time not needed. Odeo? When was this recorded 2005? Make your RSS with WordPress, it’s the easiest way. Use Libsyn or Amazon S3 for your media hosting. This is really bad advice in this video.

  2. Any thoughts on yeti mics and abelton software?
