PodCamp Montreal This Weekend

Activities are scheduled Saturday September 20th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday September 21st from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A complete program is available online.
Members of the volunteer organising committee include some some of Montreal’s top podcasters and social media aficionados, including Sylvain Grand’Maison, Julien Smith, Bob Goyetche, Mitch Joel, Jean-François Blais, Laurent LaSalle, Laurent Maisonnave, Hugh McGuire, Harold Boeck and Michelle Sullivan.
PodCamp Montreal is a community-based, not-for-profit event.
A big congrats to all the organizers of Podcamp Montreal as it was, in my opinion a great success. The nice thing about it (besides the fact that the bar opened at around 10:30 AM!) was that the sessions were not “typical” and in a lot of ways really moved beyond the nuts and bolts of podcasting to cover social media in general.
Attending something like a Podcamp is always highly recommended as it is important to break away from the computer screen as much as possible and actually interact with people in person. I’m looking forward to the 2009 editition!
