Addonics has introduced a 1.8″ ZIF – CF Adapter kit that you can use to make your iPod faster and more shock resistant.
The adapter (ADZIFCF) supports several types of Compact Flash media including PIO, DMA, UDMA4 for up to a 40MB/s transfer rate. In addition to iPods, the adapter supports any laptop computer or portable device that uses a 1.8-inch ZIF connector. It has a MSRP of $23.99.

anyone tried this yet? I have a dead 4th Gen. but for the price of this, along with a 32 gb card I could buy another 4th gen ipod. Is it worth the effort?
I thought the hard disk was a compact flash compatible drive. I have used the drives in development machines…. hmm
I’m thinking off doing this because my hdd on my ipod classic 6g is faulty because it wont show on the computer. But if the flash drive works i will let you know…………….. đ
