Call Graph is a “simple and good” plugin for Skype for recording calls.
Features:
- Call Recording: record your calls in an mp3 file, automatically.
- Full Skype Support: record Skype to Skype, SkypeIn, SkypeOut calls.
- Completely Free: no limits or restrictions of any kind.
- Manage Records: use tags to mark your records.
- Integrated Search: use tags to search through your calls records.
- Simple and Un-intrusive: minimal interface, easy to use, un-annoying.
Unfortunately, it’s Windows-only.

Wow – I’m really interested in Skype, but I’ve tried to listen to this several times and the person speaking has such a strong accent that I simply cannot understand more than about one of every 5-7 words! Impossible to follow along.
Chet – you need to get out more.
i’ve never found a skype call recorder that worked well and was easy to use. Will give it a try, here’s hoping!
VOIP, in general, is still pretty screwed up, with lack of openness and interoperability and the fact that it’s still hard to record calls with Skype is just one example.
Let me know what you think of Call Graph.

I’ve actually done a few podcasts that were recorded using Skype. I was always a guest, so I never needed to have a way to do it until today. I’m writing up an article and needed to interview one more source. However, instead of it being in person, which is the way I do almost all of my interviews, I was going to use Skype to call her. I ran a Google search and found info on Call Graph. I’m happy I did. It ends up that I’ll email her a bunch of questions, so I ultimately don’t need it this time. But this is good to have.
