Make Video Podcast Ready For Apple TV

Make has a note on their site today saying that the awesomely empowerful Make: Video Podcast is optimized for AppleTV.
You can subscribe and watch the standard MP4 or mov at 640×360, or select the HD version which is set up to look awesome in HD.
“I shoot in hdv so it’s not up-res-ing,” says Make’s Bre Pettis. “All that at detail is there to start with! If you don’t have an AppleTV or an HDTV to enjoy the resolution, you can watch it in hd on your computer.”
Wow, Make in HD. That’s fantastic. Another reason the Apple TV is worth owning.
It’s pretty wild that the only way to get HD onto the Apple TV (right now) is via a podcast. I think that’s a really big boon for that art form.
Apple is really making some impressive steps with this box. And, if you look years down the line — or read some of Shelly Palmer’s commentary — you really see that this box could disrupt the cable TV industry. In a big way.
Just like the iPod, it may take a couple years. But when we look back, it will be pretty obvious.
