Unilever will sponsor the magazine’s first video podcast series, The Masthead with Marie Claire, which will launch Jan. 2.
Hosted by editor-in-chief Joanna Coles and featuring the magazine’s editorial staff, the five-minute bi-monthly video podcasts will offer an inside look at the making of the magazine, with scenes from a real day in the life of magazine editors, beauty and fashion shoots, celebrity interviews, beauty talk and more.
“With the fast-paced growth of emerging media, it was our goal to partner with magazines to more fully integrate our brands in those mediums in a more organic way,” said Irene Grieco, senior U.S. Lead-Print Management, Unilever, in a statement.
VP/publisher Susan Plagemann added: “Delivering organic footage on what goes on at the magazine to a person’s iPod enables us to use creative product integration and puts us ahead of the curve in reaching our audience at all times.”
