Is Bill O’Reilly Out Of Touch With America?
Nov 25th, 2006 | By James Lewin | Category: iPods & Portable Media Players, StrangeiPods are bad for America, according to controversial television personaity Bill O’Reilly, host of The O’Reilly Factor TV and radio shows.
In a recent “Radio Factor”, O’Reilly took issue with both the iPod and Sony PS3.
“I don’t own an iPod. I would never wear an iPod,” said O’Reilly. “If this is your primary focus in life — the machines … its going to have a staggeringly negative effect, all of this, for America.”
“Did you ever talk to these computer geeks?” added O’Reilly. “Can you carry on a conversation with them? I really fear for the United States because, believe me, the jihadists? They’re not playing the video games. They’re killing real people over there.”

I have to agree, Bill O’Reilly is out of touch. Either that, or he’s sufficiently in-touch to be one of America’s most dengerous people.
He wouldn’t like it if such things as MP3 players spread as much as they have. After all, he’s paid to foist his opinions on us. And, someone approves the content of what he says enough to grant him air time. At one time, that granted the likes of him and Rush some real power.
I heard someone once say that it was once said that Freedom of the Press only exists for those who own a press, but now if you own a computer, welcome to the Fourth Estate!
And that is what makes podcasting so revolutionary. If I happen to disagree with O’Reilly or anyone else, I can state my case in a podcast for all to hear. And if my ideas catch on, then that’s my good and their bad, isn’t it?
Actually, there needs to be even more of us, so that we can bother the more traditional media even more.
“Is Bill O‚ÄôReilly Out Of Touch With America?”
Gee, you think?!? Both him and Anne Coulter are complete crackpots.
The answer to your question is, of course, yes.
I wonder if anyone at Faux has told O’Reilly his show is available as a podcast?
What a knucklehead!
O’reilly, put me on your show! I would love to discuss the power and positive aspects of disseminating content.
Bill says: “Did you ever talk to these computer geeks? Can you carry on a conversation with them?”
Well, I have and I can. I’d like to ask him:
Did you ever talk to these TV show hosts? added O’Reilly. Can you carry on a conversation with them?
This is from a man with no login, no listening skills, no ability to explain his ideas clearly to an audience.
will someone please shoot him?
I disagree – obviously – completely with O’Reilly, but it’s a mistake to think he’s an idiot. I’ve been face-to-face with him on The Factor – three times – and he certainly can have a conversation. (Check out YouTube for O’Reilly and me.) The key is beating him at his own game.
