Susanne Noatsch, a researcher at Leipzig University in Germany, is looking for input from podcasters for a survey about podcasting.

The survey is anonymous – participants do not have to tell their names. The survey will be available online through the end of August.

The survey is divided into five sections.

  1. general questions concerning a certain podcast-provider (When did he/she start to offer podcasts? How many podcasts are offered? How he/she evaluates the feedback to his/her podcasts?)
  2. questions concerning the content (Do they offer exclusive content or content which was already published before? What topics they offer?)
  3. questions concerning the motives of podcasting (Why do they offer podcasts?)
  4. general conditions and problems (What about music? Is it a problem that it is hardly possible to play commercial music? What other problems do they see concerning the further development of podcasting?)
  5. perspectives (How do they evaluate the long-term future of podcasting? What do they think about the influence of podcasting on other media?)

The survey takes about 12-15 minutes to complete.
