Mainstream Media Goes Crazy For Anti-Hillary 1984 Ad Remix

A remix of Apple’s famous 1984 ad that places Senator Hillary Clinton in the “big brother” role is causing a stir in mainstream media.

The video, below, is being called “groundbreaking”, and “a watershed moment in 21st century media and political advertising”.

The video represents “a new era, a new wave of politics … because it’s not about Obama,” said Peter Leyden, director of the New Politics Institute. “It’s about the end of the broadcast era.”

Whether or not the video has any political impact, or if it just turns out to be a mildly humorous YouTube video, remains to be seen. After just a few days, though, the video has been seen nearly half a million times.

  1. What’s so interesting about another attack ad? Why does it demonstrate the ‘end of braodcast’? It’s just another political ad with a bit of ‘controversy’ so it gets free air time on the big networks. Nothing clever that a 10 year old couldn’t do. The public is gettng smarter and will see this for what it is. But then again, America and Americans are gaining a reuptation around the world for being stupid so perhaps this will really for work for the Big 0, I mean O.

The fact that Former Senator Allen was defeated by self implosion with the help of YouTube videos says something about the affect of user generated videos. It can make an impact. Over a half million people have seen the video. I will say it is way too early and something like this will not end the Clinton candidacy. It will take something much larger. It could hurt her temporarily, but I honestly don’t see a long term effect.

On the video itself, I found it actually amusing and for some reason made Hillary Clinton look more presidential. I don’t know how that happened.

Lets see if the Clinton fans responds.

This video isn’t original, clever or even funny — and is a blatant copyright infringement.

    I agree with Craig: BFD.
